Definitions

What the caps count

Email scanned
Each message we check in your mailbox during a scan, whether or not it turns out to be a receipt. Most messages are rejected by the cheap prefilter and never reach the AI, but they still count as scanned because we had to look. A mailbox with 5,000 messages in the financial year fits the Solo plan in one month.
Invoice extracted
Each record saved to your expenses table — one per receipt, invoice or tax invoice we confirm, and one per photo you upload. Duplicates we detect and skip do not count. Scanning the same mailbox again does not re-extract records it has already saved.
Business
A separate set of mailboxes, records, exports and members — for example a DJ business and a design side hustle. Caps are shared across all your businesses; the business limit is the number you can keep at once.
Month
A calendar month in UTC. Caps reset on the 1st. Unused allowance does not roll over. Upgrading mid-month lifts the caps immediately; usage so far in the month still counts.

FAQ

Questions about caps and billing

What happens when I reach a cap?
Scanning pauses and the app tells you why. Nothing already extracted is lost or hidden. Scanning starts again on the 1st of the next month, or straight away if you upgrade.
Will scanning a whole financial year use up the cap?
Usually not on Solo or above. A busy sole-trader mailbox has a few thousand messages a year, and only a fraction are receipts. The Free plan's 300 emails is enough to try one recent month.
Do the caps apply per business?
No — per account. If you own three businesses on Pro, the 25,000 emails and 3,000 invoices are shared between them.
How am I billed?
Monthly, in AUD, by card through Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's hosted checkout and never touch our servers. Invoices with GST are emailed to you each month.
Can I cancel?
At any time, from settings, under billing. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have paid for, then drops to Free. Your records stay unless you delete them.
Do you refund partial months?
Not for a partial month you have already started, except where the Australian Consumer Law requires it. See the terms.
Is there a plan for bookkeepers?
Studio: 10 businesses, 100,000 emails and 15,000 invoices a month. Invite each client as a member of their own business, so they keep control of their data.
